Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Business Analyst with a strong background in Security and expertise in IT Inventory Management to join our team. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that IT assets and security protocols align with business goals and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications for IT security and inventory systems.
- Identify areas for process improvement and provide actionable recommendations.
Security
- Ensure that IT inventory processes comply with security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with security teams to monitor, manage, and mitigate risks associated with IT assets.
- Develop and maintain policies for secure management of IT assets, including software, hardware, and licenses.
IT Inventory Management
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date IT asset inventory, including hardware, software, and network components.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, gaps, or risks, and recommend solutions.
- Work with procurement and operations teams to ensure timely acquisition and disposal of IT assets.
Project Management Support
- Support cross-functional teams in implementing inventory management and security projects.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with objectives.
Reporting and Documentation
- Develop detailed reports on IT asset utilization, compliance, and risk management.
- Create user-friendly documentation and training materials to support inventory and security processes.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, particularly in IT Security and Inventory Management.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in IT asset management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, SolarWinds, or equivalent).
- Analytical skills with expertise in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud asset management and security (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of scripting or automation tools to enhance inventory tracking and reporting.
- Certification(s) such as CISSP, CISM, or ITIL Foundation.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of relevant experience in IT inventory management and/or IT security.
